Fahmi Amhar, Habib Subagio, Haryono
Audit of spatial information systems and geospatial data has been regarded as a very urgent need inline with wide application and use of geospatial data. Geospatial data is more often used as an instrument for decision-makers in all activities, by government body, by corporates or by individuals. This study aims to find a model of spatial information systems audit by adopting the audit model established in the banking sector. Review on ISACA audit information system procedure coupled with specific reference to ISO 191xx should give the initial design of spatial information systems auditing. The model is tested to three applications: spatial planning maps, disaster mitigation map both are Indonesian cases - and Google Earth as example for free public spatial information system. This model should be a new discourse in the geospatial world, which needs increasingly high quality geospatial data to protect the society in political, economical and environmental aspects.
