There is a correlation between the demands of society with respect to the profession of a surveyor and the education for the profession. The use of the electronic data processing allows the building-up and the organization of land information systems. To use the electronic data processing under optimum conditions it is necessary to impart better basic knowledges in computer science. Beyond this the transformation of computer data into actual information needs the conveyance of modern scientific findings about leadership, management and planning as well for the state and its citizens as for economy and society. If these demands cannot be realized during the studies further education should offer these possibilities.
