Another dimension to value management : sustainable design and economics

The Quantity Surveying Practice has evolved from strength to strength, taking into account procurement management, cost and contracts and now sustainability. This paper seeks to discuss on how the QS can add value to the project team by combining value management and engineering principles together with sustainable design and economics, adding value to the project objectives and clientts bottom-line. This paper also touches on Building Information Modelling and simulations.
