The aim of this Masterclass is to present evidence on land corruption in Africa and more
importantly share some of the effective anti-corruption solutions to land governance challenges.
The Masterclass is informed by the Land and Corruption Project in Africa that is currently being
implemented by Transparency International through its National Chapters. The paper will
therefore providence evidence on land corruption and its social impacts before highlighting how
corruption risks in the land sector can be mitigated. Through this Masterclass will present both empirical research evidence as well as show case communities experience with land corruption through visual and participatory documentaries. Through this Masterclass we seeks not only to raise awareness on land corruption but also inspire the recognition and prioritization of anti-corruption solutions in land governance narratives.
