Application research of image fusion technology on dynamic monitoring of land use

Ma, Jing et al.

The Ministry of Land and Resources P.R.C initiated national remote sensing dynamic monitoring project of land use. Through analysis of multi-temporal satellite images, land use change information could be obtained and analyzed. The previous research work is mainly operator experience dependent, it is required to develop a sound technique to analyze the data. In this paper, several image fusion methods have been applied to dynamic monitor of land use, and the results are satisfactory. Overall, the image fusion technique can benefit the future dynamic mornitoring of land use, and promote this research field to some extent.
