Automated cadastre : a basis for land information systems

Hoflinger, E.

The Austrian cadastre was the result of a unified boundary survey based on a geodetic control network which was carried out in the first half of the nineteenth century. In the second half of that century, the land register came into being as a legal guarantee for real estate where all parcels of land and the land-related rights were put down.
