Digital computer orthophotomap made up from the vector cadastral map and the orthophotographs

The basic orthophotomap of the Slovak Republic 1:5000 (ZOM-5) is a new state map series. It is created by transforming source geodata into a digital computer product. The map consist of two parts. The first part is represented by objectively generalized contents of the vector cadastral map 1:1000. It is in the form of points coordinates and text positions. The second part, colour orthophoto is in the form of a regular grid of pixels. The planimetry of the map contains land boundaries, traffic networks and selected lettering. The map is distributed in the form of CD-ROM or analoque offset printouts.
