Yesterday at the Geospatial World Forum we had a fantastic session on the underground mapping and datafication to address complex challenges that a dense occupation and optimal use of earth’ resources bring along. We succeeded in combining several principal viewpoints including, data requirements related to use cases, data providers, procurement, organisation and business cases, standardisation, legislation, international cooperation. And all of this shared and combined in a public, private partnership way of cooperation. The latter was later confirmed by OGC Board members sitting in the back of the audience: ‘a breakthrough in governmental – business shared vision and action’. The presentations will later be made accessible through the GWF website as well as professional pictures taken. Thanks to each of you again for your great individual contribution.
