Ghana's land based resources and the constitutional benefit-sharing formula

Ghanaas economy is natural resource based and an estimated two-fifths of economically active population are engaged in agricultural, forestry and fishery works. The exploitation of natural resources particularly the land-based ones and the sharing of the benefits thereof are therefore of concern to most Ghanaian whose economic and socio-cultural activities are closely linked to them.
