Harmonisation between the mapping agencies of Britain and Ireland on spatial information

Ordnance Survey was in 1922 split into three separate organsiations with responsibilty for Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Ireland respectively. Each organisation has developed separately over the last 80 years, and the result is that each now has different data specifications, data models and data products.
