Implementation of urban location-based and temporal routing system in disaster management (case study: district 6 of Tehran)

Naghavi, M., A. R. Pirmoradi & A. R. Amiri

Path finding is one of the most important issues in metropolitan disaster management. In fact, once a disaster occurs, it is necessary to have a path finding system concerning all affecting criteria. Tehran is one of metropolises that can be exposure to vulnerability when a disaster happens to it. What is considered in this paper as main criteria are including highways, streets, and important places such as gas station, hospitals, clinics, emergency and academic centers which play critical role in disaster management. The objective of this paper is to represent a dynamic path finding system in district 6, based on integration of location-based and temporal data using Dijkstra algorithm. This system calculates travel time based on traffic congestion, prioritizing highways and street along with their directions. Also, the system updates the travel time by getting the online traffic information.
