Implementing an integrated cadastre solution : case study: Hungary

This paper summarises the main features of the Hungarian Cadastre on top of which a new computerisation concept was built called TAKAROS. This acronym stands for a Hungarian expression meaning Map Based Cadastre System for Computerisation of Land Offices. The article presents the general requirements against a complex Land Information System in the Hungarian Land Offices and gives an overview on the actual software solution. The possible next steps and future development areas are also briefly presented.
