Improvement of the Polish cadastre : recent developments

The paper presents the following issues: the cadastre as understood by FIG, objectives of a cadastre in general and specific characteristics of the Polish cadastre; current status and basic cadastral problems in Poland, e.g. the administrative structure, data and standardization of data, techniques applied; consequences of functioning of the current organisational solutions; long-term cadastre development policy including further identification of cadastral problems, rectification of the negative effects of the current solutions, expanding the scope of information in the system, conversion of registers and maps to data files form, and finally, the status of work on cadastre reform.
