Land in Uganda is a key driver of economic progress and is key in realizing food security. Livelihoods of many, especially the rural poor, heavily rely on secure and equitable access and control over land and other natural resources. Inadequate and insecure tenure rights increase vulnerability, hunger, poverty and can lead to conflict and environmental degradation (FAO, 2012).
