Land reforms in Mongolia : sustainable development

The International Workshop on Good Land Administration Its Role in Economic Development is being organized by the Administration of Land Affairs, Geodesy and Cartography of Mongolia (ALAGaC), Permanent Committee on GIS Infrastructure for Asia and the Pacific (PCGIAP), and Swedesurvey, the overseas agency of the National Land Survey of Sweden and supported by UNDP, ADB, Open Society Forum, GTZ, FIG. On behalf the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development and on behalf of myself I would like to welcome you all to our country and also thank you for receiving our invitation to participate in this international workshop. This workshop became a meeting point of land administration officials, academics, non-governmental organizationss and private sector representatives from Asian and European countries. Our participants have an opportunity to share their experiences and lessons learnt in land administration sector, and discuss about the role of good land administration in accelerating national economic development and eventually, establish cooperation between East and West. Having this in mind, we are giving high importance to this international workshop.
