Metadatos para el Nodo MTOP IDEuy implementados por el GTIG-UdelaR

Under the agreement University of the Republic (UdelaR), Engineering School- with the Department of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), develops Specific Activity MTOP peripheral node, in which, one of tasks is the implementation of a Metadata server. With the objective of creating a Node for Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI), in this case IDEuy (IDE Uruguay), should be taken into account how it has been gestated and which policies and standards have been adopted. In case of the IDEuy, under the Agency's Electronic Government and Information Society (AGESIC), the IDE Working Group, have been adopted the international standards for Geographic Information established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in a series of technical standards that allow to create, update and distribute geographic information in a more comprehensive and orderly way, allowing interoperability of data. These standards are ISO 19100 family, in particular adopted the ISO 19115:2003 standard for creation of Geographic Metadata. And the ISO 19139 standard for publishing Metadata on servers, as it provides standards with XML implementation scheme.
