Modelling a modern computerized cadastre
Miller, Brett
Traditionally cadastres have been defined in terms of their data content, however, this paper advances a new definition of a modern, computerised cadastre based upon general MIS concepts relating to the composition of an information system. The paper defines four dimensions of a modern, computerized cadastre and the components associated with each dimension. The models detailed in the paper seek to structure the cadastre as a modern, computerized information system with clearly defined dimensions, associated components and a supporting administrative structure.
