On translations of planning terminology : challenges in describing national planning systems in common transnational languages

Tentatively this paper explores institutional structures to compare national planning systems. The investigation is based on initial descriptions, reports and legal documents from all together 11 Baltic-related countries. The national languages of the countries belong to several groups and sub-groups of languages as well as the planning systems exhibit different legalconstitutional origins and stratums of shifting political systems and ideologies.
