Since the reform and opening-up, China has entered the new transforming period of economy and society, Chinese economy has made great achievements. National economy has attained an annual average growth rate of 9%, the level of urbanization increased by 3% each year. Land resources play an important role in ensuring the sustainable development of the national economy.Meanwhile, the problems of a large number of farmland conversion have appeared. Excessive loss of cultivated land, forest and wetland, have led to the increasingly prominent issue of resources and environment. The Chinese government attaches great importance to this situation. The eighteenth Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the ecological civilization should be together with economic construction, political construction, cultural construction, social construction into the national strategic layout, to promote the construction of ecological civilization vigorously.Throught establishing spatial planning system in china, carrying out the ?multi planning integration? in City and county level, To delineate the permanent basic farmland red line of national space, the red line of ecological protection and the boundary of urban growth, supporting the development of strict policies and measures, to form a complete set of strict policy measures, to strengthen the effectiveness of the government's control on the basis of the market mechanism. To carry out land renovation project and to lay a solid foundation for China's grain security by improving agricultural production facilities in the red line of permanent basic farmland. Reduction of human activities in the red line area of ecological protection and restoration of ecological function are to enhance the quality of China's ecological construction. Controlling the excessive spread of cities and towns in the urban development boundary, Strengthening the economical and intensive development and Improving the efficiency and quality of land use. Currently, China is carrying out the ?Definitions of three boundaries? comprehensively, promoting the protection and development to be harmonious and unified, and optimizing the pattern of land and space development. All above provide an important reference for the sustainable development of territory in developing countries.
