Privatizing the cadastre: four sound reasons why...!

The elements of a cadastre are revisited, and privatization explored from an economic viewpoint. This serves as a basis for a consideration of the extent to which the principles of privatisation can be applied to various cadastral functions and procedures including the allocation of publicly and privately financed cadastral tasks between government and non-government agencies.
