Surveyor engineer organizational reform in Hellenic public sector's services

One of the basic reasons for the organizational reform of the Public Sectorrs Services is the exponential growth of new technologies and the new conditions they create. The existing model is based in a central unit administration for the organizational structure and for the humanns role. In nowadays there is a very big production of information, and we can use all these data in a best practice way only with rational administration. The up-to-date demands ask for the organizational reform of the Public Sector Services according to the circumstances. This paper aims to analyze the way that various Greek Public Authorities can take advantage of the Surveyor Engineerss services, and especially of a modern cadastre operation and of GIS services. Flexible and efficient Public Administration needs reliable information, knowledge management and well-defined operational processes, to improve or integrate public services to the society. Sustainable development of Greek society can be achieved via this path of change.
