The French e-land portal = Le portail geofoncier : une infrastructure de donnees spatiales singuliere pour une profession extraordinaire
Bibollet, Pierre & Patrick Bezard-Falgas
The possibility to implement, at the cadastral scale, an e-land portal was listed among the 10 commitments contained in the French land surveyorss charter for sustainable development and planning, which was signed on 17 September 2008 during the Strabourg Congress. The surveying professionns will was to be a driving force in the implementation of a French structure of perennial and coherent data within the framework of their delegation of public service. This portal is a tool for the mutualization of land data and the rights of land occupation thanks to a set of data (land, land registry, parcels, topography, address, environment, geodesy etc) managed by different partners within a single system of reference for land. This portal is the very first national infrastructure of spatial data which has been implemented by a liberal profession so far. The portal was officially launched in June 2010 during OGEEs 40th national Congress in Marseille. The French land surveyors can use it since 1 July 2010.
